We attended Dustin’s annual gaming convention, BlizzCon, and snuck in a visit to one of our favorite places, Disneyland. For a childless couple we find ourselves visiting Disneyland at least once a year, sometimes twice. We just love it. Someday we look forward to taking our little “Checky-pie’s” there.

We spent a beautiful summer day with Dustin’s little brother Jordan and his new bride Carly on their wedding day. It was fun, but very tiring. Funny story – we totally got pulled over by a cop leaving the reception center, Dustin still in his tux and me in my bridesmaid dress. When the cop got up to the car we think he thought we were the newlyweds and let us off with warning. It was hilarious – but I was very upset with Dustin at the time. Wedding’s are fun, but glad the next one (on either side) won’t be for a few years.
The video is from our 1st “Barbie-Q”, showing “Amy Winehouse Barbie”
The 4th of July is by far my favorite holiday. Why? There’s nothing better than warm weather, family and good food. A few years ago someone on my Barber side (I don’t know who) came up with this crazy idea to have a “Barbie-Q” – where we take dollar-store Barbie Dolls, dress them up with a theme (like “Marilyn Monroe Barbie”) and strap our themed-Barbie to fireworks. It’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen.
I have told my “non-Utah” friends about this, and they think we’re a bunch of rednecks, and maybe we are. But if we are, we’re the funny, educated ones with a full set of teeth. Thanks to Aunt MaryAnn and Uncle Scott for hosting the annual event and keeping the tradition alive.
Dear Caribbean, we love and miss you. We took a 7 day Southern Caribbean cruise out of Miami on Norwegian Cruise Line. I have to admit, I don’t think Dustin and I are “cruisers” per se; the food was a major let down and for two “foodies”, that was important. Menus aside, we enjoyed the time together and re-charging our batteries in such a breathtaking part of the globe. Would we take another cruise tomorrow? Of course! The fact you see so much in a short amount of time for a reasonable rate makes it all worth it.
Thanks to Scott and Debbie, for the awesome Christmas/Graduation gift, we love you guys!
